歡迎來到分子代謝醫學實驗室,Molecular Metabolic Medicine Lab,簡稱為 3M 實驗室。我們是以分子的角度,來探討代謝相關疾病的致病機轉,以尋求疾病治療的契機。
在我們 3M 實驗室的研究方向,主要分為三大主軸:第一、Mitochondria 粒線體相關研究,包含研究粒線體功能缺失、粒線體鈣離子平衡等,在細胞中扮演的角色,以及與疾病的關聯。第二、Metabolic Disease 相關研究,包含肥胖、糖尿病、胰島素阻抗等代謝疾病的致病機轉。甲、我們也對於發炎,尤其是發炎體在疾病進程中;乙、脂肪組織棕色化,於其中扮演的關鍵影響;丙、最後我們也對於代謝疾病衍伸的-心血管疾病,尤其是血管硬化與鈣化,非常感興趣。第三、Metabolism pathway 相關研究,我們針對慢性腎臟病、腎臟纖維化,探討如何以代謝路徑切入其致病機轉。
此外我們也探討組織硬度對細胞行為的影響,及其可能的致病途徑,用有別於一般生物、化學的角度,去觀察物理因素造成的影響。最後,結合 3M 三種 Materials,包含細胞模式、基因剔除小鼠動物模式、病人檢體等三種 Materials。來交互檢驗我們設定的假說,完成臨床與轉譯醫學的研究。
